To deeply learn and implement Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, to fulfill the fundamental task of moral education, to explore the historical responsibility and mission of young college students in the historical process of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and to actively promote the high-quality development of ideological and political work among college students in the new era, the "Great Revival of the Chinese Nation and the Historical Responsibility of Contemporary College Students" academic seminar was held at our university on November 25.

The seminar was attended by Liu Aiguo, Secretary of the Party Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the Hubei Federation of Social Sciences; Yu Liping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial People's Congress and Deputy Director of the Education, Science, Culture, and Health Committee; Rong Xianming, Editor-in-Chief of People's Daily Hubei Channel; Wen Nianman, Deputy Director of the Ideological and Political Education Division of the Hubei Provincial Department of Education; Bian Jing, Party Secretary of the University; Li Jinlin, President of the University; Li Hongyan, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President; and Xu Baicai, Former Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee. The opening ceremony was hosted by President Li Jinlin.

The keynote report session was moderated by Li Hongyan. Professors from various prestigious institutions, including Wang Binglin from Beijing Normal University, Luo Yuting from Wuhan University, Wan Meiwei from Central China Normal University, Li Youxin from Xiangtan University, Dong Hui from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Yu Liping from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and others, made keynote speeches focusing on studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Cultural Thought, forging the sense of community of the Chinese nation, and cultivating new people of the times who are up to the task of national rejuvenation.

This seminar was sponsored by our university and co-hosted by the Student Work Department of the Party Committee, the Youth League Committee, the School of Marxism, and the Hubei Province Key Research Base "Research Center for Ethnic Minority College Students' Ideology and Education," along with the "Research Center for the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics" at South-Central Minzu University Branch. The conference utilized a hybrid format, attracting over 300 participants, including renowned experts and scholars from top universities such as Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and others. Leaders from our university's relevant departments, student affairs officials from various faculties, full-time and part-time counselors, and a selection of student representatives attended the event. Major media outlets, including People's Daily, Guangming Daily, China Social Sciences Today, and Cnhubei.com, provided on-site coverage of the activities.
