On the morning of September 7, 2022, the online sharing meeting of scientific research experience for the graduate students of the School of Economics was successfully held. Two outstanding alumni were invited to share their scientific research experience and academic resources. They were Lei Zhujiahua and You Jialu, who were graduate students in our School, and now study for their doctoral degrees at the Central South University of Finance and Law and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics respectively. The meeting was hosted by Professor Xiong Fang, the Vice Dean of the School of Economics. All the graduate freshmen attended the meeting. Some graduate seniors and undergraduates also joined in the meeting.

  Lei Zhujiahua and You Jialu had in-depth exchanges and interactions with the students on graduates’ scientific research and personal development, research goals that could be achieved in the graduate stage, research topics, literature collection and collation, research methods and resources, etc., They also explained the students' confusion in data collection and analysis, paper review writing, argumentation and research design. Combined with the scientific research experience and postgraduate development plan, they suggested that students should clarify the research direction, master relevant knowledge and skills, and get ready for the future employment or further study. In the end of sharing, they also expressed their gratitude to the alma mater, teachers, and the younger brothers and sisters for their encouragement and blessing. They encouraged the students to devote themselves to scientific research and study hard to achieve their ideal goals.

  Professor Xiong Fang thanked the two alumni for their wonderful sharing. She claimed that the purpose of this sharing was to help students, especially those at their initial stages of scientific research, which could help them to have a clearer understanding of scientific research at the beginning of graduate stage by listening to the experience of outstanding seniors so as to further clarify their learning objectives at the current stage, make academic planning ahead, and take a good road to study in the future.

  The successful holding of this sharing meeting provided the students of the  School of Economics with very high-quality learning opportunities, and also truly reflected the School’s concern and encouragement for the students' scientific research, which was conducive to further enhancing students' enthusiasm for scientific research and clarifying the direction of their efforts.
